Unit 5 Inventory task : Minecraft (PC Version)

Minecraft (PC Version)

The inventory used in this game is shaped in a grid system and also limited, However half of the inventory is permanently on the screen (Toolbar)  In which you can choose items easily. When wishing to open the full inventory the game continues while in it.

The user opens the inventory using keyboard controls. It is easily accessible and also the player is able to customize controls to make it easier to open. The user also uses the mouse.
When inside the inventory the player is able to arrange and change were there items are and also to use certain items. In Minecraft you are given a small crafting area to create the basics inside the inventory. On this game the user accesses it from the game screen using keyboard controls.
the inventory suits the gameplay quite well as it is easy to open and also easy to use. however when using it you must be aware as the game is still going on in the background and so you are advised to not spend a lot of time in it or to use it in a safe environment.
I like the design because it is quite simple and easy, but It is very limited and can become quite full easily. Minecraft counters that and allows you to create chests in which give you a bigger place to store items. I like the fact you must only take the items that you need and that you are also punished for not bringing the items you may need.

Minecraft may influence my design because of how easily accessible it is and also the fact you can see the items you have visually. This is something I like and could implement into my design in some way.
